~ The Collector of Moments by Quint Buchholz ~ ...
Wintertag - A Winter's Day - 2007
I really need to finally come this winter ... the snow hid the road and mixed tracks ...
I need to be warm, as it happens only in winter ... From hot tea from a soft plaid, from wool and pottery, from the long twilight ... I need to get around was quiet and a little lonely ... To day merged with the next day, disappeared without a trace ...
Then I can close with a light heart and home alone with books ...
One of my favorite children's illustrated - "The Collector of Moments by Quint Buchholz" ...
The text in the book a lot, I would say that it's more for adults ...
And the paintings Quint Buchholz, want to keep coming back ...
In each - its history ... softly, warm and gentle ...

I trained myself to always finish started painting, no matter how many doubts arose in the process. They certainly appear, but I force myself to fully trust the web.
When the end is near, uncertainty disappears from my paintings. They become themselves peace. Paints come in harmony. In the last days of the picture begins to glow, as if someone slowly kindles fire.
The very process of drawing slowed down in recent days. I often just sit in front of the canvas and look at him.
In the process of drawing the artist must not only understand what he knows and what he wants, but also feel the confidence in the picture. In the process there is the main task: to find a balance between his own will and obedience. Picasso has described this tension that surrounds not only the creation of individual paintings, but also the whole book: Inspiration exists, but you can find it only in the course of work. These words about art, but also about life, about God.
