Steve Hanks: erotica should be transparent

Perhaps, to date, Steve Hanks (Steve Hanks) is the most famous American artist working in watercolor technique. He is sure that the talent woke up and developed in him due to the fact that a happy childhood spent in California off the coast of the ocean, was replaced by the gloomy urban landscapes of New Mexico in adolescence. The family had to move, friends and the beach were in the past, and the future had to be filled with something immediately. And the soul turned into painting.

Steve Hanks is a professional artist, he graduated from the Oakland College of Arts and Crafts in California. From 1994 to 1996 he was nominated as the best artist of America, and even critics recognize his works as outstanding works of contemporary art. What to say about ordinary connoisseurs of painting, especially the male - they are simply in indescribable ecstasy. Firstly, Steve Hanks' paintings are very realistic, not well-versed even begin to suspect the artist of using Photoshop, but this is not true; Secondly, watercolor creates an amazing sense of transparency, especially appropriate for heroines paintings; In the third, Steve draws naked women, impossible beautiful and very erotic, and what else is necessary for happiness?

The artist called his style "emotional realism", because emotions are exactly what he is trying to portray, and realism is a way to do it. Heroes of paintings are women precisely because they are able to express a huge number of feelings, they reflect innocence and saturation, personify the true magic. Do not believe me? See for yourself.

Fabian Perez: vortexes of dance passion

Argentine artist and writer Fabian Perez (Fabian Perez) can rightly be considered a citizen of the world. He left his native country at the age of twenty-two, and moved to Italy for seven years. And at this stage of his life he was already an accomplished artist. For an unknown reason, it was in Europe that his work took on an eastern orientation. After completing the story "Reflections of Dreams" Fabian Perez left for Japan for a year - to seek and find the reasons that called him into the oldest art on earth. In this period, he painted two of his already famous paintings - "The Meditating Man" and "The Japanese Flag". Both with honor were exhibited in the residence of the governor.

After the Land of the Rising Sun, the artist was drawn to the American continent. He chose the eternal summer of Los Angeles, but his heart is forever given to Argentine dance art. Today, the artist prefers to paint with acrylic because he dries quickly and impulsively, like the plots of his paintings. The images created are filled with movement and passion, and the characters are symbolic and dynamic. Each picture of Fabian Perez reflects also his own character, the completeness of the energy flow and the depth of the senses. Perhaps, that is why his works deserve world recognition and wide popularity.

Three years ago, in 2009, Fabian Perez was named the official artist of the 10th annual Latin Grammy music award, which once again underscored his inextricable connection with his homeland. A year later he was elected for the artistic display of the 2010 Winter Olympics. An amazing honor for a modern artist whose name is of world importance, and the work is dedicated to tango and flamenco.

Nathan Brutsky: Look, do not take your eyes off

A modern Israeli artist may well be born in Kiev - this is the history of the country of the Soviets. Apparently, therefore, in his work the echoes of the education received at the Soviet art school will be felt forever. Undoubtedly, they are far from patriotism, aggressive colors and imperative moods. Yes, there was a raid of aristocracy and uniqueness. But the very method of filing - look and do not tear your eyes, look at the details - is kept filigree. Apparently, Nathan Brutsky will never outlive him in his work.

It all started at the age of ten. Father Nathan thoughtfully turned over his son's drawing and made a fateful decision: the boy should be trained in an art school. Fate was sealed. In 1991, he left his unrecognizably changed homeland, and through this deed received the opportunity to study the work of Western European artists. In contemporary art, of course. Later, even to study in their studios - and these lessons until today serve him as a permanent service, provide invaluable assistance.

To be honest, thousands of sketches served as lessons for mastery - for a good ten years Nathan did not let out a tiny sketchbook and pencils from his hands. I literally tried to sketch everything I saw without the slightest exception. The results of all these diverse efforts are his work today. Style is found, it is individual, it is elusively similar to someone - but this circumstance concerns everyone in contemporary art, without the slightest exception.

Leah Yerpe about the emotions of coal

This Brooklyn artist from the whole richest variety of modern materials has chosen the only one: coal. And the subjects of Leah Yerpe also decided not to indulge, and what could be better than the intricacies of human figures?

Her models are uncontrollable. Conscious artist they are not subject to, have complete freedom of movement in a frank and improvised dance. And they are transformed from free individuals into bright, symbolic figures. These newly created symbols conjure certain associations with mythology and religion. Mythology also has a direct impact on the names of works, although they are not illustrations of any historical or fictitious events.

In his paintings, Leah Yerpe explores the contradictions and emotions, as well as other intangible relationships that can exist between people. It would seem that all the figures are expressly uninhibited, and this state is not capable of transmitting messages, regardless of the content. But the filigree technique of the artist radically changes this situation. Elegance and grace, it turns out, can be emphasized through dissonance.
